A Guide to Creating/Editing my.monash Unit Pages and Discussion Groups
What is my.monash?
my.monash is a personalised ‘gateway’ to
the online resources each Monash
University community member may need while at Monash University. It is
accessible at: http://my.monash.edu/
The my.monash portal is available over any Internet connection.
All users
need is their Monash University AuthCate username and password.
my.monash brings together:
o Online unit resources for students and academic staff
o Email
o Search engines
o Tabs (dynamic collections of topic-related items/resources, such as
my Info, my Library, my.community etc)
o Relevant links to staff and student support services
o Personal links/bookmarks
o Default and custom-made components (examples of components are
‘The Age Breaking News’, local weather, the Garfield comic
etc)

Editing my.monash pages: a guide
As a Monash academic staff member or admin/IT support, you are encouraged
to use the my.monash portal to provide information, links
and resources to your students through my.monash unit pages. ITS have
written a guide that is designed to help you in each step of the process
so that you can quickly and easily edit my.monash unit pages.
